You bathroom fans can occasionally need to be removed in order to repair, clean, or replace them. This will be done for both the purposes of maintenance and if it is not functioning properly. If they are making noise, or otherwise not working right, then they are not ventilating your bathroom as they are supposed to do.
The first thing you are going to need to do when getting ready to do anything with your bathroom fan from cleaning it to repairing or replacing it is to take it out. The way you go about removing the fan will be dependent on the type of fan that you have. It will also depend on the vent cover that is used for the fan. Most of these are easy enough to remove, you can remove the entire fan by simply taking out a few screws. Make sure to remember the following when you are working on your bathroom fan:
Cover Removal
- If the cover is attached with screws, then you are going to need a screwdriver in order to remove the screws so that you can remove the vent cover.
- If the fan happens to be mounted to the ceiling with hangers, then you will have to remove the bulb cover and then remove the bulb so that you can get to the screw that holds the cover where it is. After the screw or nut is removed, your cover and the lighting assembly will no longer be attached to the ceiling. This will then leave the motor exposed. Make sure that you are careful not to do this while the bulb is still hot.
- Take care when you remove the cover. If you do not, then you may dent it or scrape paint off of part of your bathroom.
Electric Motor Removal
After the cover is off, the motor for the fan will be showing. This is plugged into the housing of the fan or mounted in with screws. After the motor is loose, the wiring needs to be detached.

- Before you begin trying to remove the fan, you will need to make sure that the power is turned of to the fan from the breaker box. Check to make sure that the power is really no longer running to it with a circuit tester.
- Make sure that you wear the proper eye protection so that you do not get anything in your eyes that could be harmful.

Making a Headboard That is Padded
First: Cutting Beams
Take white pine beams that are 4×1-1/4 inches and cut them to 2-3/4×1-1/4 inches with a table saw.
Second: Ledgers
Take the 1-1/4″ ledgers that were made from the larger piece and glue a side. Put it on the 2-3/4×1-1/4″ piece that you made. Be sure that it is even with the edge of your beam. Put a nails in six inches apart to keep it attached.
Third: Cutting Beams
After you completed your beams, you have to cut them so that they are the right size. The first thing you have to do for this is make your measurements. The parts that you need are going to be two that are 74-1/8″ and two that are 50-1/8″. Rather than making your cut straight, you are going to use a miter so that they have a 45 degree angle to them. Be sure that you are cutting all these opposite each other so that they are able to be assembled into a rectangle.
Advice: With the blade being 1/8″ you will need to cut at the outside of the mark you made.
Fourth: Nailing Together
Once you have all the pieces properly cut and have mitered them, you will glue them together into a rectangle and then nail them all together.
Fifth: Staining
This is the part where you will apply the stain that you have chosen to the wood. You should try to pick one that will bring out the natural beauty that the white pine has. After you have stained it, let it sit at least overnight.
Sixth: Cut Plywood
From a sheet of 3/4″ plywood, cut a piece that is 72″x48″.
Seventh: Lay the Topper
After you have laid down the plywood, you will need a piece of memory foam that is queen sized. Cover the plywood with the memory foam. Fold over one side of the memory foam and put your adhesive on the plywood. Then, roll your foam over your adhesive and apply pressure. Do the same for the other side. Trim any excess foam that you have so that the foam is even with the edges of the plywood.
Eighth: Fabric
Lay the fabric that you have chosen over the foam. Make sure there are no wrinkles, then staple it to the back side of your plywood. If this is a woven or see through fabric, then you will want to put a solid piece under the covering that you have chosen. This will make the appearance of your headboard more attractive.
Ninth: Attaching the Plywood
After the headboard frame has had the time to dry, set it to where the mattress will be on the inside. Attach it to the frame ledger by countersinking it up through it and into the back of your plywood.

The next step requires a rug shampoo of your choice that won’t run the colors. To test to see whether it will affect the rug in this manner, shampoo the oriental rugs’ corner. If there is no color run, then you can move to shampooing the whole rug. Using a soft brush can also help when adding the shampoo if you are having trouble by hand.
Make sure you have covered the entire rug both front and back. When you have done this you can then hang it back up and run cold water over it with a hose or with a bucket. Remember to make sure all the shampoo is gone from the rug as this is important when it comes to drying.
When you have made sure all the excess shampoo is gone from the rug, you can then move on to removing any excess water as well. The best way to remove this water is by getting a window squeegee. Run the squeegee along the rug until you have most of the water out of it.
Once this is done, you can then leave it in the sun to dry. After a few hours, check on your oriental rug to see how damp it is. If it is still damp then leave for another hour or so.

Most tree decals have additional owls and birds décor. Some even have butterflies. You can add a little grass on the bottom of the tree. The placement of your trees may also add excitement in your design. You can place them behind your baby’s crib or behind the cabinet.
